Is there anything more fun than animating text?
Motion graphics animation has been around for decades. Among my favorite graphic designers is Saul Bass, who, probably most notably, created title sequences for such Alfred Hitchcock films as North By Northwest, Vertigo, and Psycho. Bass is attributed with the creation of kinetic typography – or the technique of mixing motion and text to express ideas.
The animation in the video above is lean and whimsical. Due in part to technical constraints in file size, this is also a means to provide consumability in a fast-paced world where designs are being delivered via email.
